アイラブトリニメンバーであるselector Hemoが、高知発祥の“よさこい祭り”と“世界3大カーニバルの１つである“TRINIDAD&TOBAGO(トリニダード＆トバゴ）”のカーニバルがそっくりだという事を発見し、本家高知よさこい×カリビアンカーニバルのコラボレーションチーム『CANAVAL(カナバル)』が、「CANAVALAVA(カナバラバ)」として新しい形で2023年再始動となります！祭り＆カーニバルを体験してみたい、コロナのストレスを発散できるような楽しいことをしたい！という思いのある方は必見是非参加してみませんか？？^^

よさこいとカリビアンカーニバルの融合チームカナバルは2008年結成。プロデュースを手がけるのは、日本のSoca（ソカ※カリブ海諸国のカーニバルで使われる音楽のジャンル）のパイオニアであり、シーンを牽引し続けるselector HEMO、そしてHEMOと共に2008年にかなばるを立ち上げた立役者であり振付師 の YURI の強力タッグを中心に2017年の10年間チームを育てました。

日本のお祭りの中で最も自由でカーニバル色の強い「高知よさこい祭り」の持つ遊び心や広がり発展してきた歴史を大事にしながら、メンバーが影響を受けたカリブ文化をMIXさせ新しい形のよさこいを表現したいという想い、和の心＋カリブのそこ抜けの明るさを大切に、世界の祭りの交差点を目指し、2023年に再始動！

今年高知市にオープンする宿泊施設『AVA』とタッグを組んで、『CANAVALxAVA（カナバラバ）』となりました！すでに参加者（踊り子）募集中！

日本を代表する『よさこい祭り』に、遠隔操作ロボットが初めて登場します。 高知よさこい祭りの70周年を記念し、かつてないテクノロジーと伝統が融合した世界初のプロジェクトです。
「遠隔よさこいロボット実行委員会」は、よさこいxカーニバル文化を融合したグループ「CANAVALAVA」と共同で、遠隔によるよさこい 祭りへの参加を企画しています。この企画により、車いすの方や高齢者の方、障害がある方など多種多様な人達が世界のどこからで もよさこいパレードに参加できるという、画期的な参加方法が可能となります。
ロボットシステム開発専門企業である「AGAMI株式会社」は、画期的なリモートダンスシステムの開発に取り組んでいます。この技術 により、遠隔地に置かれたロボットアバターがチャンネルとなり、遠隔操作者が指示したダンスの動きを、直感的なタッチ操作を通じて 表現することができるようになります。このシステムにより、身体に障がいのある方でも創造力を発揮し、よさこい祭りに積極的に参加 し、踊り手や観客とリズムを共有することが可能です。
「遠隔よさこいロボット実行委員会」は、複数の宇宙人型ロボットアバターを企画しており、それらのデザインやイメージ図を世界各国 から募集しています。このユニークな機会を利用して、2023年8月に高知で開催されるよさこいパレードに、世界中の人々が参加する ことができます。

Remotely operated robots will make their first appearance at the famous Kochi Yosakoi Festival of Japan, this year.
Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Kochi Yosakoi Festival, this project is the first of its kind attempting to combine technology and tradition in an unprecedented way.
The “Remote Yosakoi Robot Executive Committee” is planning to participate in the Yosakoi Festival with remotely controlled robots in collaboration with CANAVALAVA, a group that combines Yosakoi and carnival culture. This project will provide an innovative way for people in wheelchairs, the elderly, people with disabilities, and people in a wide variety of other situations, to participate in the Yosakoi parade from anywhere in the world.
AGAMI Inc, a company specializing in the development of robotic systems, is working on the development of a revolutionary remote dancing system. This technology enables a robot avatar, placed in a remote location, to act as a channel and express dance moves directed by a remote operator through intuitive touch operation. With this system, even physically challenged people can express their creativity and actively participate in the Yosakoi festival, sharing the rhythm with the dancers and the audience.
The “Remote Yosakoi Robot Executive Committee” is planning to present several alien looking robot avatars and is inviting designs images of these avatars from around the world. This unique opportunity will allow people from all over the world to participate in the Yosakoi Parade to be held in Kochi in August 2023. The executive committee is also planning to invite cooperation through crowdfunding to cover some of the costs required to organize and execute the event, during June 2023.
In addition, the “CANAVALAVA” Yosakoi team is still recruiting dancers for the event. Everyone is welcome to join the team and experience this historic moment!
The “Remote Yosakoi Robot Executive Committee” and CANAVALAVA will continue the challenge to find new ways to fuse Japanese tradition, diversity, and IT innovation technology to make the Yosakoi experience available to everyone.
